Aegagropila linnaei (moss ball)

These moss balls are completely undemanding and can be kept in almost any freshwater aquarium. They are spherical green algae with a velvety surface and a deep green color. The moss balls should be rinsed under running water every few weeks.

According to the latest findings, the well-known moss balls are Aegagropila linnaei (previously also known as Cladophora aegagropila).
