Product Information

Heat packs are small cushions that heat up by reacting with oxygen.

When used, the heat packs are taken out of the foil packaging and simply shaken for a few seconds. This allows (air) oxygen to reach the granules in the heat pack. A chemical reaction takes place in which the heat is released.

Application:
Remove the heat pack from the packaging and allow it to be activated by contact with oxygen. To aid activation, the heat packs can be kneaded or shaken. The heat release begins after a few minutes.

Now place the heat pack in a transport box such as a Styrofoam box or cardboard box. Please ensure that fish bags containing animals or plants do not come into direct contact with the heat packs; place cardboard or crumpled paper between them.

Heat packs absolutely need oxygen to work well (otherwise the chemical reaction in the heat pack cannot take place).

Heat packs get cold in closed Styrofoam boxes because no new air can flow in. Make sure to make 2 small holes in Styrofoam boxes or tightly sealed boxes so that the heat pad will work.
