Stainless steel wire mesh for aquarium moss, Riccia and small foreground plants.

A quick and reusable solution for easily attaching moss, Riccia and of course small plants such as Hemianthus callichitroides cuba, Utricularia graminifolia etc.

The mesh can be easily attached to the substrate using the curved edges, and moss or Riccia underneath can grow through the mesh within a few days. Small plants can also be attached wonderfully with it until they have grown into the substrate.

You can also easily tie moss to the mesh using fishing line or cotton thread. Riccia can simply be placed back under the mesh as soon as it starts to float up.

Rustproof stainless steel (1.4301), safe in fresh water. You will receive two meshes measuring approx. 6x8 cm and a height of approx. 10-12 mm. The material we use is not woven but ultrasonically welded at every point of the grid and therefore cannot come loose.

A brief technical note on stainless steel: This material is resistant to water, water vapor, humidity, food acids and weak organic and inorganic acids. It has a wide range of applications, e.g. in the food industry, beverage production, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry, for household appliances, for surgical instruments, for jewelry and also in aquariums for heaters, etc. The material 1.4301 is an alloy of chromium, nickel, silicon, among others. The manufacturing process creates an inert material when the components are melted, which is harmless for normal use in the aquarium.
