Catappa Leaves

The active ingredients of the dried leaves of the sea almond tree (Terminalia catappa) have a slightly disinfectant and antibacterial effect. In Asia, the leaves have been used for a long time in aquariums and when transporting stress-sensitive fish.

The pH value is lowered very slightly, the water is not clouded. They are absolutely safe for invertebrates and are considered a delicious change on the menu. In fish, they promote the healing of inflammation and fin rot and prevent spawning fungus.

Dosage: add 2-3 leaves to 100 liters of water for about 3 weeks (or longer) in the aquarium. Briefly scald the leaves with hot water beforehand.

We only offer top quality sea almond tree leaves. The sea almond tree leaves are free from pesticides and other chem. Means, they are absolutely clean and already pre-washed.

Our leaves come from a remote region in India and are privately collected there by a young family (including for their own use for rodents).

Please keep dry and airy. The size of the leaves is about 12-19cm.
