Nano catappa bark

The sea almond tree bark is a purely natural product, the mild tannins it contains have an astringent (astringent) effect and thus prevent the easy penetration of bacteria and fungi into the mucous membrane of the animals. In many soft tropical waters, the low (acidic) pH value is usually not caused by large amounts of CO2, but by humic and tannic acids. It is known that such waters are extremely poor in germs as a result. For some fish, these substances are even a prerequisite for successful reproduction.

Please use 1-2 pieces of bark per 20 liters of aquarium water. We recommend rinsing the bark briefly with hot water before use. For the most powerful effect possible, place the parts in the aquarium immediately. If a milder effect is desired, we recommend watering for several hours up to a day. The sea almond tree bark sinks to the ground after a few hours. Any slight cloudiness that may initially appear is natural and completely harmless. If you use other products containing tannin, such as sea almond leaves, please take this into account when determining the dosage.

After about 3 weeks, the tannins are largely released. The bark can now be renewed or left permanently in the aquarium as a pretty, natural decoration.
