A beautiful rarity from India, very new and only described a few years ago.
Lagenandra keralensis develops numerous roots and a creeping rhizome. The petioles are 2-7 cm long, with leaf blades adding another 3-7 cm. The leaves are 2-4 cm wide, elliptical, and light purple, rarely dull green.
It is very similar to Cryptocoryne species and easy to keep, perfectly suited for aquariums, and thrives even with low lighting and low CO2 levels. A balanced diet can be achieved with standard complete fertilizer.
