A new, light green Nymphoides species that has not yet been identified. It probably occurs from Laos to northern Mongolia and Japan and was picked up a few years ago in southern Taiwan and discovered for aquarium use.
The plants are quite easy to care for and provide a great contrast in the aquarium with their very light green, fresh leaves.
The species is also known as Nymphoides hydrophylla 'Taiwan', Nymphoides sp. "Flipper" and "Flipper-Lotos", although it should in no way be confused with the Tiger Lotus tubers and is also not a Nymphaea variant!
While other Nymphoides species usually soon develop floating leaves, N. sp. 'Taiwan' is characterized by the fact that it constantly and exclusively grows underwater leaves.
