Limnophila sp. 'Belem' is a completely new rarity that was only discovered for aquarium hobbyists around 2019. It shows the jagged leaves typical of many Limnophila species.

The coloring of the underwater leaves is exceptional and the leaves are predominantly violet-purple in color with green or sometimes brown-orange spots or dots.
