The American lizard's tail is a long-established aquarium plant. It is ideal for the foreground to midground of aquariums. Its compact size and striking leaves make it a highlight in aquascapes and Dutch planted aquariums.

Unfortunately, the lizard's tail has become increasingly rare in aquariums in recent decades, which is a great shame. Its beautiful leaves and striking growth on thick stems, which are also very suitable for creating a depth effect and for planting in aquariums, should be seen much more often again.

It can also be used as an emersed plant in paludariums and impresses with its striking leaf and flower heads.
A balanced supply of nutrients, including through the roots, ensures healthy, even (but not too rapid) growth and beautiful leaf color. We therefore recommend adding VIMI soil fertilizer tablets.
