Acmella repens comes from the USA and occurs in Central and South America as well as Mexico and Paraguay.

The leaves are colored a rich medium green. The stem and the leaf veins are colored more or less rusty-red-brown depending on the lighting, although the veins and the leaf edges can also turn a very impressive purple color with good lighting and nutrient supply.

In its underwater form, this plant grows strictly upright and has no special requirements in culture, making it a great green eye-catcher for any aquarium, which is best kept in small groups.
