In the aquarium, this variant of the Java fern remains very compact and short-growing. The strong veins and the slightly bullish leaf blades also look very attractive. This new growth form is ideal for nano cubes and aquascaping due to its small size and slow growth!

This form of Microsorum pteropus was found in the Western Ghats in southwest India. There it inhabits shady places in the spray water areas of streams and waterfalls.
