A very beautiful, rare plant, but unfortunately also somewhat difficult to care for and only available in limited quantities.
This species, also known as Tonina sp. manaus, originates from northern South America and requires plenty of light and iron fertilizer; CO2 supplementation also appears necessary. It thrives in lower pH values and soft water.
It is a truly striking and impressive plant when, under good conditions, it forms lush green, broad "crowns." A stem plant, it can be used to create focal points in the midground or for background planting.
It should be planted in small groups of 3-5 plants, where it provides an excellent contrast to darker plants (possibly with smaller leaves).
According to the latest research, this plant belongs to the genus Syngonanthus (Syngonanthus cf. inundatus).
