Driftwood root wood

This bogwood has a positive effect on the water ​​in the aquarium tank. Small amounts of humic acid are released, the water is slightly softened, which noticeably increases the willingness to spawn and the general well-being of fish. The roots are often used as a hiding place and resting place (e.g. when spawning).

It is very suitable for setting up shrimp and crab aquariums, as leaves, twigs and roots are more common in the natural environment of these animals. Shrimp are very happy to accept the roots and cavort on them in large numbers. Mosses and ferns can be placed on it well and grow on after a short time.

Due to the soft, untreated surface, it is also suitable for rasping catfish, the wood serves an important source of fiber (food supplement).

Please soak the pieces of root wood in warm water before adding them to the aquarium.
