Small amounts of humic acid are released, the water is slightly softened and acidified, which noticeably increases the willingness to spawn and the general well-being of fish. Bog roots are very suitable for setting up shrimp and crab aquariums, as leaves, twigs and roots are more common in the natural environment of these animals. Shrimp are very happy to accept the roots and cavort on them in large numbers. Mosses and ferns can be placed on it well and grow on after a short time.

Please do not boil this bog root! This would destroy the biochemical balance in the wood.
