Freshwater tang is not a moss but a fern that has 'stopped' evolutionarily and has not fully developed into a fern. With its round shoot tips and rich light green, it forms a very nice contrast to other plants and mosses.
It does not have a thicker midrib than Monosolenium tenerum and can therefore be easily distinguished from it. In addition, the leaves are much thinner and almost green-transparent. It was not until mid-2007 that it was identified as a prothallium of 'Lomariopsis' (lineata).
Freshwater seaweed has few requirements when it comes to water quality; clean water (weekly water changes) and CO2 greatly accelerate growth. We recommend FERKA Aquatilizer and Balance K or VIMI All in One as fertilizer.
It is ideal as a grazing area for shrimp and as a hiding place for small fish.
