The Fissidens spec. mini is an absolute rarity and after a few weeks it forms fine adhesive roots with which it grows onto root wood and stones. However, because of the small, fine shoots, you need a bit of skill, but after a short time the result is absolutely satisfactory and you can achieve a really beautiful eye-catcher with this moss. The shoots are shorter than those of Fissidens nobilis and about 1cm long; the leaves are even finer than those of Fissidens fontanus.
The moss has little demands on the water parameters; clean water (weekly water changes) and CO2 accelerate growth greatly. Especially for the slow-growing Fissidens species, we definitely recommend fertilizing with "FERKA Aquatilizer and Balance K", the addition of which can significantly accelerate growth.
The moss can be cut and retied at any time. It is ideal as a grazing place for shrimps and as a hiding place for small fish.
